Coachella: Sensory Overload

Oh Coachella…we go every year with big plans to document ALL the fashion. It’s so good, ALL of it, from the feathered headdresses to the furry costumes to those crazy enough to wear things like crushed velvet and head-to-toe vinyl in the desert heat. Alas, we always get distracted by the music. Lucky for us, with cool music comes awesome leather jackets and such. Here were our favorites from the weekend…

One of our fav frontmen, Jarvis Cocker (Pulp) donned a pinstripe jacket with velvet trousers. He still has the moves…

Sadly, you can’t see the back of Dan Auerbach’s (The Black Keys) leather jacket. It has studs in the shape of a spade

Santigold being, well Santigold. Love the eyeshadow.

The world’s tallest fairy princess, Florence Welch (Florence & The Machine) added extra drama to her performance with this ethereal, winged leotard (it has sexy, sheer panels down the side)

Surprise guest, Rihanna (w/Calvin Harris) was wearing an amazing Chanel bomber jacket over this earlier in the day…

Our favorite performance of the weekend…Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow) looking very low key in a black bomber…we really don’t care what he wears ;)

…And Gents: Of Sacks and Satchels

We have a weakness for men who carry nice bags. Perhaps that’s because it’s refreshing to find someone who spends as much time picking out their purse as we do? Strong and masculine, yes, but we’d still look lovely and ladylike schlepping any of these…

So classic, just please, don’t over do it. One piece at a time. Unless you’re over 80…then go for it. Beware of hunters…and angry vegans…

Occupy: This Is What Democracy Looks Like

So I know we’ve been gone for a while….The Haus is sooooooo busy…and tired. We had the opportunity this past December-Jan to curate a show to support the OCCUPY Wall Street Movement at the Athens Institute for Contemporary Art (ATHICA). Artists of all ages, from all over the country participated! A labor of love and a substantial success. We’ve heard we’ve inspired some similar shows elsewhere. We decided it was so fabulous we had to share it with you all…

We are the 99%. This is our collective voice. We have something to show you. This is what democracy looks like…

Last minute install….
